Lets get this blog party started!

So I set up this blog site in the summer time when we found out we were pregnant, thinking that it would be a good way for us (me) to write about what was going on and for those who I don't talk to frequently to be up to speed! Now it is almost Christmas, and I know everyone is waiting with baited breath for the first blog entry. Well wait no longer!

So to catch up quickly on the goings on - Phil and I are having a baby (it's a BOY) sometime around April 4. (Final Four games are played on the 4th - a Saturday - yes I know it's weird I looked this up). I'm 24 weeks 5 days today and just had my second dose of TUMS ULTRA 1000 MAXIMUM STRENGTH of the day. Lets hope they work today. Who knew french onion soup would make heartburn worse?? Not me!

So far, I've not been the best pregnant person to live with. (Sorry Phil) And although I know it's horrible to say. . . I don't like being pregnant. I'm already over it and I'm not even in the third tri. I'm thrilled we are having a baby of course, I just wish Phil could do it next time. We are going to work on that.

Dude (what I am calling the baby) is already an athlete. . . just ask my bladder and ribs. There is a LOT of jumping, kicking, punching, flipping, somersaulting, etc going on in there. Phil finally got to feel it this week and now knows what I've been talking about for the last 4 weeks or so. We know this baby is crazy, it was confirmed by Dr. Duke at my 16 week check-up when she had the hardest time holding on to the heartbeat because he was spiderman-like swinging from one side to the other. She thought it was funny - my insides do not.

So thats all for now. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on my rapidly expanding stomach, sonogram updates, and eventually some baby photos!
