Here is the most recent belly pic. . . YIKES!

26 weeks 3 days and GROWING!! Come on third trimester!!

Since most of the other belly shots have been posted only to facebook, I'll upload them here so everyone can see the expanding extravaganza!

17 weeks. . . And I thought that was bad.

18 weeks . . .

19 weeks . . .

It really is crazy to see the difference. I'm not looking forward to seeing how big the next few months get! But it's worth it ;)

Farewell My Mini Friend!!

It is a VERY sad day. The mini and I are breaking up. It's just not working out anymore. It's not me, it's him. He is crowding me, I need more space. We have just grown apart. Actually, I've grown and he hasn't grown with me. We have had great times, but it's time to move on.

We are trading him in tonight for a grown up car. Sigh. Actually, it's pretty good because I am ready for 4 doors. GASP! Who would have ever thought that would have come out of my mouth - er - fingers?? But it's true! We are getting a used Camry. It makes no sense to buy a new car living on our street. It would look used in 2 weeks or less with the amount of dings and bumper-parking wars.

This is just the first step into my new role of "mom". Wierd! We are beginning the baby-fying process. I think it works out well for us though that it's the end of the year and the dealership was more willing to negotiate a good deal to get the sale. Well I think so, Phil still thinks we are getting ripped off (but we aren't!!!).

So farewell Mini. Best of luck with your new owner. They won't love you as much as I did.

Holy Christmas Batman

We survived. It was questionable there for a bit but we made it. SIX Christmases. Seriously, SIX! I'm so christmased out I dont even want to look at the tree long enough to take it down.
It was good though overall, just exhausting. I took the whole week off and dont feel rested whatsoever. It's good to see the family though. This was the last Christmas Phil and I will have without children ever! Very strange to think about, but true! It's only going to get crazier, but in a good way ;)

Lets get this blog party started!

So I set up this blog site in the summer time when we found out we were pregnant, thinking that it would be a good way for us (me) to write about what was going on and for those who I don't talk to frequently to be up to speed! Now it is almost Christmas, and I know everyone is waiting with baited breath for the first blog entry. Well wait no longer!

So to catch up quickly on the goings on - Phil and I are having a baby (it's a BOY) sometime around April 4. (Final Four games are played on the 4th - a Saturday - yes I know it's weird I looked this up). I'm 24 weeks 5 days today and just had my second dose of TUMS ULTRA 1000 MAXIMUM STRENGTH of the day. Lets hope they work today. Who knew french onion soup would make heartburn worse?? Not me!

So far, I've not been the best pregnant person to live with. (Sorry Phil) And although I know it's horrible to say. . . I don't like being pregnant. I'm already over it and I'm not even in the third tri. I'm thrilled we are having a baby of course, I just wish Phil could do it next time. We are going to work on that.

Dude (what I am calling the baby) is already an athlete. . . just ask my bladder and ribs. There is a LOT of jumping, kicking, punching, flipping, somersaulting, etc going on in there. Phil finally got to feel it this week and now knows what I've been talking about for the last 4 weeks or so. We know this baby is crazy, it was confirmed by Dr. Duke at my 16 week check-up when she had the hardest time holding on to the heartbeat because he was spiderman-like swinging from one side to the other. She thought it was funny - my insides do not.

So thats all for now. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on my rapidly expanding stomach, sonogram updates, and eventually some baby photos!
